Years after topping the charts in the 1980s and 1990s, pop singer Richard Marx noted that something remained the same as in the days of temptation.
"It's amazing that women are still putting on their lingerie," Marx said, speaking on the phone from Chicago before going to work when he began his solo concert. "It's just that they are hanging out these days."
Marx, 56, brings his music and birth to a solo concert at 7pm. On the 30th. Feb. 12 at the Brown County Music Center, 200 Maple Leaf Boulevard in Nashville. His former MTV veejay wife, Daisy Fuentes, will embark on the journey as he often does these days on tours.
According to online videos, he still boasts strong vocals that sound as sharp as his hit days. But now the Grammy winner has added a terrifying sense of comedy to his set list, complete with Top 10 tunes. During his tours of the past year, he included such well-known songs as "Don't Mean Nothin", "Endless Summer Nights", "Stop Nights" and "Right Here Waiting Your Prestition".

At a performance a few years ago, he and actor Hugh Jackman stepped out for a duet with the latter, changing the last line "right here waiting for Hugh."
It is clear that he is still having fun with his audience, including his time traveling. A few months ago, a middle-aged couple recognized him, apologized, and stopped him at the airport.
"We just wanted to thank you," the couple said. "Your song was our wedding song."
"What was that?" He asked. "We should know better." They didn't laugh. "
At Shows Gala, when women and others still shout that they love him, he sometimes comes out. “I love you too. But I feel the need to see other people. "
At the local concert, she sees a lot of humor for a place called "Night of Love Songs."
"What's more fun than relationships," he asked. "It's an in-depth material there, not only with the songs but also with the experience of life."
He went crazy about his own music, making it a Romano Romeo in the past.
"It does not mean that I take this concept very seriously," he said.
And she likes to weave lighter impromptu commentaries between songs.
"I've never really felt like a story (tomorrow)," he said. “I think that maybe it is partially due to age. But that changed the whole dynamics of performance for me. ”
He hopes that at least a few songs from his new album will include February 7 released under the heading "7 Infinite". It marks the first batch of its new material in six years. And with the help of a synchronized video behind him, he will fall in love with his three music sons, whom he calls Marx Brothers. The song "When You Loved Me" is often cited as a highlight by fans. Posting comments online after the presentation.
"I don't think I've ever done that song and never got any solid eggs," he said. “I'm obviously proud of the song. But that is really because of them. It is a very special thing. ”
They also had a live talk with him several times. Thus, the boy who was once the main heartbeat and the striker is an understandably proud parent, and a quieter artist no longer worried about his long-term influence.
"I no longer have lofty goals," he said.
But perhaps, listening to the joy and laughter of his audience.
